My goal with this project was to try and create something new from something that already existed. Brighton has an endless supply of world beating street art, but it just doesn’t feel right simply taking photo’s of other people’s work in it’s entirety. There are a couple of examples elsewhere on this site which I wanted to share, but they’re not for sale – just for looking! With these shots I have attempted to look at some of our street art from a new angle. Using a 105mm macro lens I have gotten as close as possible to the wall (literally 5 cm away from it) to try and capture the smallest details of the art. These shots would look fantastic blown up big on a wall!
