NEW YORK

After an incredible, snow-capped first visit to New York earlier this year I was excited to be returning in summer to see how the city had changed with the seasons. These images were all taken within the first seven days of a 2 1/2 week visit. I walked over 150km in my mornings, evenings and the two weekend days, and took around 1700 photos. I used my *insanely* good 24mm and 105mm Sigma’s, 50mm and 28-300mm Nikons, and a 15-30mm Tamron Super Wide that was returned to sender when I got home (decentred! agh!) Phew!

Excluding the price of beer, New York is definitely my favourite city on the planet. Such awesome people and oh so much to look at. Walkable city? Check. Incredible architecture? Check. Great views? Check. East river night police boat chase? Check! Unbelievable Pizza Pies so heavy you could knock out a burglar with them? Check Check Check!

I had a list of places I wanted to go see; I think I probably hit about 60%, and so many of the shots I took can be taken again and again in different light and weather. I will be back 🙂
