Earlier this year I was lucky enough to have a short work trip to Manhattan, and even luckier on the second day I was there a blizzard came in and the office was closed for a snow day. The images contained in this gallery were all taken within three days of each other, and all within a square mile in the centre of Midtown, New York; some on my way to the office and others on my way back. It’s true what they say that this city never sleeps, indeed I’d go further to say that it feels alive; it breathes. I could spend a year taking photographs in New York and never run out of subject matter! Interestingly almost all of these images were taken with my 24mm wide angle prime lens, the tight urban environment offering plenty of opportunity to make the best use of it. I can’t wait to return..
